If you are using version 4.00 and you want to upgrade directly to 4.07,
download the setup file, close the Trams Back Office application, and run the
setup file on the server and all workstations. The Database Update is not required for the 4.7 release; however, to take advantage
of the new security features you will need to run the Database Update and connect
via the TramsAppServer. Please refer to the release
notes for details.
If you are using the remote connection feature or Trams Invoice History Red App, you will need to manually upgrade the TramsAppServer.

If you are running Trams Back Office 3.06.xx or earlier, follow the
instructions below. If you need assistance upgrading please email Trams.firstname.lastname@example.org
to schedule an appointment.
Important Note: Be sure all users are logged out of both
Trams Back Office and ClientBase on all workstations and the server. Disconnect/disable
any tools/applications that might be connected to or could connect to the database
during the update. This includes the Scheduled Task for our Synchronization
utility, and third party tools provided by iZento, Grasp, or any other
non-Trams utilities. These may disrupt the successful completion of
the database update.

Step One: Run the Backup Utility. Please review the release notes and perform a backup before doing any kind of upgrade. To back up your database, go to Programs|Trams Back Office|TRAMS Backup Restore. Also, be sure everyone is logged out of both Trams Back Office and ClientBase.
Step Two: Download and install the setup.exe file on the TBO server. Uncheck ClientBase to only install the Trams Back Office setup.
Step Three: Update other workstations if applicable.
Make sure to UNCHECK the box that says, "Run the Database
Update Utility to update your database" if prompted.
