INSTRUCTIONS:

If your current version of ClientBase for Windows is 4.00 or higher (DB version 117) follow these instructions:

On the server and each workstation, close ClientBase for Window and run the currentcbwupdate.exe downloaded from the button below. Make sure to UNCHECK the box that says "Run the Database Update Utility to update your database" is prompted.

Note: If the upgrade requires a reboot, please do so.

If your current version of ClientBase for Windows is 3.09 or lower (DB version 116) follow these instructions:

Note: Be sure all users are logged out of both Trams Back Office and ClientBase and disconnect any third party applications that might be connected to the database such as a Scheduled Task, iZento, Grasp or any other non-Trams utilities that access the Trams database, as these third party utilities may disrupt the successful completion of the database update.
The database update in Step Four may take a very long time on larger databases, sometimes an hour or much more. Before beginning, if you have concerns about the length of time this process will take, contact out tech department at trams.techdesk@sabre.com.

Step One: Disable the Sync Scheduled Task. If your agency is syncing, disable the Sync Scheduled Task. Directions here.

Step Two: Run the Backup Utility. Please review the release notes and perform a backup before doing any kind of upgrade. To back up your database, go to Programs|TRAMS|TRAMS Backup Restore.

Step Three: Run the currentcbwupdate.exe downloaded from the button below on the Server. (Be sure everyone is logged out of the ClientBase Programs! Make sure to CHECK the box that says, "Run the Database Update Utility to update your database."

Step Four: When prompted, make sure the correct Alias is selected, enter the SYSDBA password, and click on Update to update the database. Please allow this process to run to completion. Do not stop the database update.

Step Five: Enable the Sync Scheduled Task. Directions here.

Step Six: Run the currentcbwupdate.exe at each workstation. Make sure to UNCHECK the box that says, "Run the Database Update Utility to update your database" if prompted.

Note: If the upgrade requests a reboot, please do so.
