TAXICABS

Taxicabs are available outside the Front Door of The Rio. Approximate cost To the Rio from the airport varies, but is not higher than $25.00. Travelling throughout Las Vegas, fares start with $2.70 on the meter, and $1.80 is then added for every additional mile.

Showtime Airport SHUTTLE

The Showtime Shuttle Booth is located at Terminal 1, DOOR 12 just outside of baggage claim or across from the last baggage carousel in Terminal 2. The cost is $10.50 per person round-trip if *pre purchased or $11.50 if purchased at the booth. Shuttles may make 2 - 3 stops along the Strip before dropping you off at the Rio. For Return Transfer from Hotel to the Airport, please call 702-261-6100 or 702-895-9976 at least 24 hours prior to your Return Flight Time.

* All passengers who pre purchase must identify themselves as being with TMU 2008 when they call in so the agents know to apply the discount.

Las Vegas Public Transportation

Bus Service
Citizens Area Transit (CAT) operates the public bus transportation in Las Vegas and there are numerous bus routes throughout the area. The CAT Bus is a popular means of public transportation among locals and tourists with various bus routes covering a large portion of the valley. The CAT system carries approximately 175,000 people per weekday, or about 10 percent of the valley's population. A one-way fare on the Strip costs $2, and slightly less in the rest of the city. Buses on the Strip run 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Robert N. Broadbent Las Vegas Monorail is owned and operated by the Las Vegas Monorail Company. The Las Vegas Monorail runs a 4-mile route between the Sahara Hotel (towards the north end of the Strip) and the MGM Grand

MGM Grand, Las Vegas (towards the South). The Las Vegas Monorail provides a comfortable, quick and safe way to travel the length of the Las Vegas Strip.

The 4-mile route is covered in about 14 minutes, and travels at speeds of 50mph. Along the way, travelers can get off/on at any of the seven stations that connect to world-famous hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. The stations are Las Vegas Hilton, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas Convention Center, Harrah's/Imperial Palace, the Flamingo/Caesar's Palace and Bally's/Paris.
