Sabre Travel Network Acquires TRAMS, Inc.
It is business as usual, and then some!
It is not very often that the opportunity comes along to have the
best of multiple worlds.
As some of you have read, TRAMS is now a Division of Sabre. It's exciting,
and to be clear, we at TRAMS will continue to integrate with options
that add value for our clients and value to our products-whether those
products are Sabre-related, neutral, or competitive to Sabre. The
fact is, we at TRAMS are very motivated to continue to provide our
core products (TRAMS Back Office, ClientBase and TMA) to you in the
best way for you, our clients.
So, it is business as usual-and then some for us at TRAMS. We will
continue to operate out of Los Angeles with the same employees, managers
and, yes, me running the shop.
There are strengths and benefits to being part of a small, entrepreneurial
company. As such, we are very involved in our markets, have "speed
to market", enjoy close connections to our clients, committed employees,
and can feel the direct benefits from our work. We like our TRAMS
environment and have flourished in our "small company world."
But there are also definite benefits to being part of a larger company.
Sabre has the resources enabling us to do more for our clients, and
offer expertise in ways we only dreamed of. They bring stability,
opportunity, education, and benefits that small companies cannot offer.
For our clients it will also be business as usual in working with
us. You have the same TRAMS products and development, same training
and support, same conferences (are you coming to Technology & Marketing
University-formerly Tech U-in Las Vegas at the MGM in April) and more,
as we have more resources and future integrations to bring to you.
Over the years I have grown fond of saying that other people may change
jobs regularly but I continue to work for the same company, have the
same title, work with the same people [yes, the average TRAMS manager
has been at the company for over 13 years including the first hire
(Dan), second hire (Sharon) and third hire (Sarani)], have the same
office-even the same desk-and serve the same clients for 18 years
now. My plan and hope is to say the same thing for the next 18 years.
Thanks for your continued support. If there is anything I can help
with, I can be reached at our corporate office 310/641-8726 (then
3 for a person) or e-mail lee@trams.com.
