POLAR Online Becomes First Major Cruise Booking Engine to Link with TRAMS ClientBase

Princess and Cunard Bookings Now Seamlessly Interface with Agent's Back Office Systems to Save Time and Increase Productivity


SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (April 18, 2006) - The thousands of travel agencies that use TRAMS' ClientBase software to manage their business will soon find it easier than ever to manage their Princess and Cunard bookings. The lines' acclaimed POLAR Online reservation system will become the first major in-house cruise booking system to link directly with ClientBase - the industry's leading customer relationship management program.

Beginning at the end of April, agents will be able to transfer information about their Princess and Cunard bookings - customer data, booking numbers, itineraries and more - automatically from POLAR Online into ClientBase. This seamless information transfer enables agencies to conveniently monitor bookings in their own back office systems, including immediately seeing the financial impact of these reservations.

"We're always looking for ways to make booking with Princess and Cunard as agent-friendly as possible, so partnering with TRAMS' systems was a great fit," said Jan Swartz, Princess' senior vice president of customer service and sales. "Our POLAR Online has gotten raves from agents, but so many of our sales partners also want to increase their efficiency by keeping and processing these bookings in their ClientBase system. We're now the only major cruise line to make it possible for all of the information in our booking system to easily transfer through ClientBase."

The interface, available through ClientBase's "Live Connect" feature, debuts today in the "Get Connected" Pavilion at TRAMS Technology & Marketing University in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand.

Used by more agents to book Princess and Cunard cruises than any other system, the state-of-the-art POLAR Online booking engine has brought cruise line internet reservations to a new level by providing travel agents direct access to the Princess reservations system, widely acknowledged as the gold standard in the business. The user-friendly "portal" to both Princess and Cunard reservation systems, provides agents with an easy-to-navigate program, rich with information and options. The POLAR Online tool can create a new booking in seven steps in as little as two minutes, and features more than 40 unique functions, including a number of resources and tools that cannot be found on any other online system. Among the system's capabilities are the ability to search sailings by price; up-sell categories; develop group reports; provide detailed commission reports and extend options.
