Customers Affected:
VAX Vacation Access and Amadeus AgentNet Agencies.
Purpose:
To notify agencies that use VAX Vacation Access and Live Connect about a major change in their booking engine that results in changes to the Live Connect process as of December 21, 2009.
Important Changes:
1. New Steps for VAX Import Existing
o Connect without any login information being passed from CB. If you have login information stored, you should remove those settings.
o When the login page appears, go ahead and sign in. The key is to have logged in once so that a cookie is stored.
o Exit (cancel that live connect).
o Connect again, still with no login information being passed, but use import existing and put in the confirmation number.
o Once the page loads completely, it should show the booking information. Be patient as it can sometimes take several seconds for the page to show entirely. Once it has, click on Import Reservation.
Once these steps have been completed, a cookie is saved on the workstation that will allow additional reservations to be imported without logging into the VAX site. However, the cookie will be cleared by logging out of ClientBase or selecting Log Out on the VAX site.
2. VAX requires a new URL that complies with their PCI requirements. Here are instructions to swap out the URL in ClientBase:
ClientBase Windows
o Go to Utilities|Live Connect Providers
o Find VAX Tour – Dynamic
o Modify
o Enter or paste the following into the URL field: https://login.www.vaxvacationaccess.com/default.aspx
o Save
ClientBase Browser/ClientBase Online
o Go to Tools|Settings|Live Connect Providers
o Find VAX Tour – Dynamic
o Edit
o Enter or paste the following into the URL field: https://login.www.vaxvacationaccess.com/default.aspx
o Save
3. VAX website requires users to enter their login credentials after connecting to the VAX website. Login credentials saved in ClientBase are no longer accepted as part of the Live Connect process. However, once you have logged into VAX via Live Connect, you should not need to re-enter the login again until you close out of ClientBase.
4. Vendor Codes for Spirit Airlines and United Vacations have changed. Please update the vendor profiles with the following codes: NKD for Spirit Vacations and UAT for United Vacations
o Query the vendor Profile for Spirit Vacations
o Open the profile
o Click the Live Connect Providers button
o Modify your VAX provider and enter code, NKD
o Apply the profile
o Repeat this process for United Vacations with code UAT
Reminder:
VAX requires each passenger to have a birth date. If no birth date is sent during the live connect process, then a server error will occur.
